SAN Miguel Alab Pilipinas looks to snap out of a losing slump while Saigon Heat is out to clinch a playoff spot in Wednesday night’s Asean Basketball League action at the USEP Gym in Davao City.

Alab and Saigon will clash at 8 p.m.

The Philippine-based squad is out to right the ship after losing twice on the road to the Malaysia Westsport Dragons, 80-79, and the Chong Son Kung Fu, 92-79, just last Sunday.

As a result of the losses, Alab dropped to 11-6 (win-loss) and slipped out of the top two positions that will come with outright spots to the semifinals in the playoffs.

Saigon, meanwhile, is in sixth place with a 9-8 card and in contention to clinch its first-ever playoff spot in franchise history with the victory over Alab.

The match will mark the Philippine debut of Fil-American Michael Williams. The Cal State Fullerton product is averaging 17.7 points and 5.3 assists for Saigon this season.

Interestingly, Saigon beat Alab last season in the match held at the Almendras Gym, also in Davao.
