SAN Miguel Alab Pilipinas shoots for its eighth straight win on Sunday night when it hosts the struggling Formosa Dreamers in the Asean Basketball League (ABL).

Gametime is set at 8 p.m. at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Alab beat the CLS Knights Indonesia, 80-73, last week to improve to 10-4 (win-loss) and is looking to pile pressure on second-running Chong Son Kung Fu, which holds a 9-3 card.

Alab is a heavy favorite to win the match, with Formosa struggling with a 1-13 win-loss slate. The San Miguel-backed squad also beat the Dreamers, 78-61, in their previous match last December in Taiwan.

Renaldo Balkman has been leading the charge for Alab, averaging 33.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, three steals, and two blocks the past two weeks to earn World Import Player of the Week honors.

However, Balkman and Co. are not taking Formosa lightly.

“It’s all for the fans and show them I can still do it, give them the most wins possible to win that championship this year,” Balkman said.
