THE Saigon Heat, featuring two Filipino reinforcements, will play tuneup games against local squads in Manila in preparation for the 2014 season of the Asean Basketball League.

Leo Avenido and Froilan Baguion, together with American import Justin Williams and the rest of the Vietnamese squad will take on the Ateneo Blue Eagles Team B during their Manila stay from July 10 to 12.

The 2014 ABL season opens on July 16.

Avenido last played for the Alaska Aces in the PBA while Baguion, a long-time ABL Asean import, saw action for the Thailand Slammers last year.

Williams played for Globalport in the PBA and San Miguel in the ABL where he helped the Beermen, also featuring Asi Taulava and Chris Banchero, win the 2013 title.

The Saigon Heat, looking to move up the table this year after finishing in last place in 2013, will also play teams such as the Enderun Titans and Skyforce during their Manila visit.
