RENALDO Balkman said he is looking forward to his return to the Philippines, insisting he has learned a lot from his last game in the country that went down as one of the controversial moments in the PBA.

Balkman, 33, was hired as one of the world imports of Tanduay Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) - five years after being banned for life by the PBA for choking teammate Arwind Santos during a 2013 game with Petron (now San Miguel Beer).

Alab Pilipinas owner Charlie Dy posted on social media a message from Balkman through agent Sheryl Reyes, where the former NBA cager expressed gratitude for a 'shot at redemption.'

“Thankful for another opportunity to do what I love to do ... brining back that college number #34 to get back to my roots, 5 years to the day I did something I regret and I learned a valuable lesson from it," said the Puerto Rican national player.
