AFTER finishing his collegiate career, Raymar Jose is headed to the Asean Basketball League (ABL).
Sources said Jose is set to sign a one-game deal with the Kaohsiung Truth, where he could make his debut against Alab Pilipinas on Sunday at the Olivarez College Gym in Paranaque City.
Jose will be joined by former Far Eastern University teammate Achie Inigo in the Taiwan-based squad to become the heritage imports - defined as reinforcements who have Southeast Asian descent.
The game versus Alab could very serve as a tryout for the former FEU star who Kaohsuing may decide to keep for the rest of the season, the source added.
The 6-foot-4 forward just finished his collegiate stint with the Tamaraws where he was named part of the UAAP Season 79 Mythical Five in final year. FEU reached the Final Four but lost to Ateneo for a berth in the finals.
Inigo, meantime, was picked 18th by the Phoenix Fuel Masters in the recent PBA draft but was left unsigned.
The Truth, winless in three games, signed former University of the Philippines guard Mikee Reyes to a one-game contract for the match against Alab in Baliwag, Bulacan which the Philippine side won, 91-82.
