STA. ROSA - San Miguel Alab Pilipinas was missing a big presence inside when it faced the Zhuhai Wolf Warriors for the fourth time in the 2019 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) on Sunday night.
Hulking slotman PJ Ramos missed his second game in three outings as he served his one-game suspension after incurring his fifth technical foul this season for his verbal altercation with Wolf Warriors' Shawntez Patterson in Alab's 105-79 win in Zhuhai on Friday.
ABL rules state that players who have incurred that number of technical fouls are forced to sit out one game as a disciplinary action.
The 7-foot-3 center also missed the team's 88-83 defeat to Hong Kong Eastern last Wednesday due to food poisoning.
Without Ramos, Renaldo Balkman was the lone World Import for the defending champions against the Wolf Warriors as they try to protect their immaculate 11-0 home record.
