Mono Vampire ties ABL record 17 triples in win over Westports Dragons

MONO Vampire Basketball Club converted 17 triples, tying a record for most threes 3-pointers in the Asean Basketball League to beat Westports Malaysia Dragons, 107-90, on Saturday at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

Patrick Sanders had 25 points, making 5 of 10 attempts from teh 3-point line for Mono Vampire, which tied the ABL record set by Hong Kong Eastern last year.

Paul Zamar had 16 points and Jason Brickman added 15. The two Filipino imports had three triples each in the record-setting game.

The Thailand-based squad improved to 2-1 as they avenged their double-overtime loss to the Dragons in Bangkok.
