Mono Vampire tops Thailand Super League to get boost ahead of ABL quarters

MONO Vampire Basketball Club defeated Hi-Tech, 81-69, on Sunday to rule the Thailand Basketball Super League 2018 at the Stadium 29 in Bangkok.

Michael Singletary had 29 points and 18 rebounds, Jason Brickman added 19 and Paul Zamar scored 15 as Mono Vampire swept the best-of-three championship series.

Mono Vampire outscored Hi-Tech, 29-11, in the fourth quarter.

Augustus Gilchrist had 32 points and 12 rebounds, while Jeff Viernes added 10 points for Hi-Tech, which went 16-0 in the elimination round and defeated Madgoat i the semifinals.

Mono Vampire, which finished third in the TBSL eliminations with a 10-6 mark, won Game One, 78-76.

Mono Vampire faces the Singapore Slingers in the best-of-three ABL quarterfinals .

In the battle-for-third, Fil-American Taylor Statham had 35 points and 11 rebounds as Madgoat downed Mono Thewphaingarm, 92-83.

Biggie McClain scored 25, Patrick Sunders had 21 points, while Almond Vosotros had 17 points and 10 rebounds for Mono Thewphaingarm.
