MONO Vampire Basketball Club stunned Chong Son Kung Fu on the road, 103-94, on Wednesday in Game One of their Asean Basketball League (AL) semifinal series at the Nanhai Gymnasium.

Mono handed Chong Son its first-ever loss at home and now gets the chance to boot out the top-seed team when action in the best-of-three series shifts to Bangkok next Wednesday.

Mike Singletary had 29 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals while Jason Brickman had 25 points, 15 assists, and three steals for Mono Vampire, which also got 20 points and four triples from Paul Zamar.

Brickman capped a huge 19-0 run with a triple as Mono Vampire took command, 42-35, in the second quarter. The Thai side never looked back and even led, 81-66, at the end of the third quarter.

Mikhael McKinney contributed 32 points for Chong Son, which had an immaculate 10-0 record at home in the elimination round to take the top seed and homecourt advantage for the entire playoffs.
