Kiefer Ravena finally set for ABL debut as Alab begins semis showdown with Singapore
Former Ateneo star Kiefer Ravena says he is excited to play again at OCBC Arena in Singapore.

KIEFER Ravena makes his Asean Basketball League debut in a venue he is very familiar with as Alab Pilipinas battles Singapore Slingers in Game One of the semifinals at the OCBC Arena on Sunday.

Game time is set at 4 p.m.

The former Ateneo star played at the OCBC Arena in 2015 for the Philippines in the Southeast Asian Games, hitting a game-winner that sealed the Gilas cadets' win over Thailand in the semifinal round.

The Philippines went on to bag the gold medal with victory over Indonesia.

Last year, Ravena also saw action at the OCBC Arena when he played for Mighty Sports in the Merlion Cup where he had a match-up to remember against Jimmer Fredette of the Shanghai Sharks in the tournament finale.

"It's familiar for me," Ravena said. "My favorite thing about it is the Filipino people coming there and seeing us play."

"I'm very excited to play at the OCBC Arena for Alab Pilipinas," he added.

Alab, seeded third, looks to overhaul No. 2 Singapore's homecourt advantage.

Although playing away, the Philippine-based squad is expected to have a big number of supporters from Filipinos based in the island nation.
