THE Westports Malaysia Dragons beat the Saigon Heat, 89-76, at the CIS Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday to book a finals berth in the 2015-2016 Asean Basketball League.

The squad of Filipino head coach Ariel Vanguardia completed a 2-0 sweep of the best-of-three semifinals after finishing the eliminations in first place with a 16-4 card.

Fil-American Jason Brickman had 17 points and 11 assists for the Dragons. Reggie Johnson had 32 points and 13 rebounds, while Calvin Godfrey added 26 points and 12 rebounds for Malaysia.

The Dragons will face in the finals either the Singapore Slingers or the defending champion Hi-Tech Bangkok City, who play Game Three in their semifinals on Sunday at the OCBC Arena in Singapore.

The Slingers forced a rubber match with a road win over Hi-Tech, 95-66, and will look to clinch a finals berth at home.
