STA. ROSA, Laguna - Tanduay Alab Pilipinas made the big plays when it mattered to outlast Chong Son Kung Fu in overtime, 94-91, in a thrilling Asean Basketball League (ABL) match at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex.

Bobby Ray Parks had a season-high 31 points and conspired with Justin Brownlee, Renaldo Balkman, and Josh Urbiztondo in the final stretch to pick up the team's seventh win in 11 outings.

The win, only the second at home for Alab, extended the Philippine side's winning streak to four.

Brownlee had 20 points and 11 rebounds, heating up late despite a so-so 7-of-27 shooting from the field. Balkman finished with 20 points, 16 rebounds, and six blocks for the home side.

Urbiztondo's three three-pointers enabled Alab to wrest the lead late in regulation, but his turnover led to a Justin Howard score that enabled Chong Son to tie the game at 84 with eight seconds left.

The game remained nip and tuck in the extra period and it boiled down to free throws and defense.

Brownlee hit the marginal charities after Howard's split, 92-91, before a crucial stop by Balkman preserved the rousing victory before a packed home crowd at the Sta. Rosa Arena.

Fil-American Mikhael McKinney had 25 points for Chong Son, which suffered only its second loss in eight matches.

Howard had 25 points and 18 rebounds foe Chong Son, which led by as many as 11 points in the game.
