JUSTIN Brownlee was named World Import Player of the Week by the Asean Basketball League (ABL) following his sizzling debut for Tanduay Alab Pilipinas.
Ginebra's resident import in the PBA, Brownlee racked up averages of 23 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in leading Alab to back-to-back wins since his arrival.
Brownlee beat Alab teammate Renaldo Balkman, who also made his debut on Wednesday, Anthony Tucker of Chong Son Kung Fu, and Maxie Esho of Saigon Heat for the honor.
In his debut, Brownlee exploded for 29 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals, and two blocks in a 90-79 Alab win over the Westports Malaysia Dragons on Wednesday.
Bronwlee followed that with 17 points, seven rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and two blocks as Alab beat Singapore, 89-80, in overtime.
