JUAN Gomez de Liano leads the Platinum Karaoke Philippines squad in the ABL 3x3 International Champions Cup to be held from April 16 to 17 in Bali, Indonesia.
Gomez de Liano, who is coming off stints in the Japan B.League and Gilas Pilipinas, will be joined by Chris De Chavez, who has played for Platinum in PBA 3x3, Spain’s Carlos Martinez and veteran Marcus Hammonds.
“It's a great opportunity for Platinum to carry the Philippine flag in an international competition. It's a massive honor for us and we're hopeful to bring home the crown in this tournament,” said Platinum Karaoke team manager Gerber Manahan.
“We're excited to see this team that we've built compete with some of the best in the region as we expect big things from Juan Gomez de Liano and Spaniard Carlos Martinez. We understand the pressure of representing the country and we welcome that challenge as we aspire for greatness,” said Platinum coach Anton Altamirano.

Platinum will have Chris de Chavez, Marcus Hammonds, Carlos Martinez and Juan Gomez de Liano.
Platinum Karaoke is one of the two Philippine teams in the ABL 3x3 men’s stint with the Zamboanga Valientes being the other squad. Another Philippine-based team Uratex will play in the women’s division.
Aside from the Philippines, two national teams from Indonesia, teams from Vietnam, Malaysia, and Cambodia, and the Singapore Slingers, Saigon Heat, Louvre Surabaya, Bali United, Shoot It Dragons, SniperX, and Indian team Ahmedabad 3BL will be participating in the men’s division.
A couple of teams is also using the competition as preparation for the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi this May.
