FIL-AMERICAN guard Joshua Munzon has signed up with the Westports Malaysia Dragons in the Asean Basketball League (ABL), just a day after he was released by the Saigon Heat.
Munzon himself confirmed to SPIN.ph the transfer that gave the Dragons a marquee player to build its team around following the departure of Matthew Wright and head coach Ariel Vanguardia.
The signing should be a major boost for the reigning champion Dragons, who currently share fourth spot with the Kaohsiung Truth with a woeful 2-6 win-loss record.

The 6-foot-4 Munzon averaged 18.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and a league-best 4.1 steals through seven games while building a reputation as the top gun for the Heat.
But Saigon surprisingly released the Fil-American swingman after the Heat dropped to 1-6 win-loss record after a loss to Alab Pilipinas, 99-77, in Munzon's first-ever game in the Philippines.
