FIL-AM Joshua Munzon was a force on both ends of the court as he led the Saigon Heat to its first win of the 2016-2017 Asean Basketball League season via a 99-85 decision over the Kaohsiung Truth on Saturday at the CIS Arena in Ho Chi Minh City.

Munzon, Saigon’s heritage import, was on fire on offense, scoring a career-high 34 points while also adding six steals in an all-around effort for the Heat.

The California State University-Los Angeles product also hit six-of-eight three-point attempts to nab Saigon's breakthrough win in five outings this season.

Saigon import Lenny Daniel had 28 points including an alley-oop dunk that brought down the entire court late in the fourth quarter, delaying the match for a few minutes.

Cedric Oliver and Derek Hall had 24 and 23 points each for Kaohsiung but only had seven and six points each from Filipino imports Raymar Jose and Achie Inigo as the Truth fell to 1-6.
