Joshua Munzon set an ABL single-season record with 61 steals.

JOSHUA Munzon has returned to the Westports Malaysia Dragons for the 2017-2018 Asean Basketball League (ABL) season.

The Fil-American guard replaced Reil Cervantes as the Dragons’ heritage import in a transaction completed during the league’s Christmas break, according to the team's official website.

The 21-year-old Munzon averaged 19 points last season with the Saigon Heat and the Malaysia Dragons and made his biggest mark on defense, setting a single season steals record of 61.

In a previous SPIN.ph interview prior to the ABL season, Munzon was still undecided on whether to stay in the regional basketball league or apply for the PBA D-League draft.
