JOSH Boone finished with 23 points, 16 rebounds, four steals, and three blocks as Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions beat the Singapore Slingers, 92-84, on Tuesday to even the best-of-five finals series of the Asean Basketball League (ABL) at one-game all.
Boone, who had a brief stint with San Miguel in the PBA, atoned for his struggles in the series opener where he allowed Singapore import Justin Howard to come away with 45 points and 28 rebounds in a Slingers victory.
Boone made the most of the ejection of Hong Kong import Marcus Elliott in the third quarter for two successive technical fouls in the tightly fought game at the Southorn Stadium.
Singapore heritage import Josh Urbiztondo had a quiet outing, finishing with nine points after drilling a finals-record seven triples in Game One, which the Slingers won, 92-76.
Game Three is scheduled on Friday at the OCBC Arena in Singapore for the next two finals matches.
