JASON Brickman is set to lead San Miguel Alab Pilipinas to a new era as he signed up with the Philippine club for the 2019-2020 ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) season.
Sources close to the situation confirmed that the Fil-Am guard will be the new court general for the Jimmy Alapag-mentored crew.
Team owner Charlie Dy also confirmed the development on Friday.
Brickman averaged 12.8 points on a 43-percent shooting from the field, to go with 8.9 assists, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.8 steals in his 13 games last season with Mono Vampire.
This will be the 28-year-old's third team in the regional league after Mono Vampire and Westports Malaysia Dragons, where he won a championship and was named as the Finals MVP back in 2016.
With Alab, Brickman will finally be regarded as a local player after suiting up as an import in his past four seasons in the ABL.
The Fil-Am guard also played for Hi-Tech Bangkok City in the Thailand Super Basketball League (TBSL), where he netted 11.5 points, 8.8 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals this past season.
He also played for Mighty Sports in both the 2019 Dubai International Basketball Championship and in the 2019 Jones Cup.
