BOBBY Ray Parks has formally joined Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League.
Parks arrived from the US and joined Alab officials and players in a dinner late Friday night before the team announced that the former Gilas Pilipinas guard will be playing in their debut season in the ABL.
"And it's official. Practice starts tomorrow," said the team in a post on Instagram showing Parks holding up his Alab jersey.
The former UAAP MVP joins the team after failing to secure a spot in the NBA D-League with the Westchester Knicks, who picked Parks in the eighth round of the draft.
Parks played for the Texas Legends last season.
