BIBOY Enguio is set to play for Indonesia club CLS Knights in the Asean Basketball League after being left unsigned by Blackwater, which selected him in the third round of the recent PBA Draft.
The 29-year-old Enguio said he is thrilled to have the opportunity to playing in the ABL.
“Isang blessing para sa akin itong opportunity na ’to and nagpapasalamat ako sa tiwalang binigay sa akin ng CLS Knights. Sobrang excited ako maglaro sa kanila,” said the Fil-Indon Enguio, who has played for the Indonesian national team.
The 6-foot-1 Enguio said he doesn’t see not being signed in the PBA as a stumbling block to his basketball career, as he is grateful that CLS Knights picked him up.
“Hindi man tayo pinalad na makapaglaro sa PBA, nagpapasalamat pa rin ako na kahit papaano na-draft ako. Sobrang pasasalamat ko rin sa Indonesia na hindi nila ako pinababayaan at patuloy ang suporta at pagbubukas nila ng pinto sa akin at patuloy na naniniwala sa kakayahan ko bilang manlalaro,” said Enguio, who previously played for Aspac in the Indonesia local league.
Enguio said he will join the CLS Knights in their game against Mono Vampire on Wednesday.
