CAELAN Tiongon is set to join San Miguel Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League (ABL).
The Fil-American posted a logo of the squad on his Instagram account on with team owner Charlie Dy confirming Tiongson will be joining the team.
“It’s official. #GodIsGood,” wrote Tiongson on his Instagram account.
Tiongson, a product of Biola University, had an impressive debut in the ABL with the Chong Son Kung Fu, averaging 11.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.3 assists.
The 6-foot-5 Tiongson made a big impression last season, with Alab coach Jimmy Alapag even describing Tiongson as the next Rudy Hatfield.
“Just the power, the motor, he plays the game the right way. He competes for every possession, just like Rudy Hatfield. I think Rudy Hatfield is an absolute winner in our country. I think our fans got an opportunity to see somebody who is very similar to him,” said Alapag.
