AFTER a busy 2018 that saw him win championships with San Miguel Alab Pilipinas and Barangay Ginebra, Justin Brownlee is relishing a much-needed break.

But there's no way he'd be missing Alab's season debut in the ABL.

Brownlee was there to support his former team and he was certainly entertained with what he saw as Alab blew by the CLS Knights Indonesia, 94-67, on Wednesday at the Sta. Rosa Multi-Purpose Complex in Laguna.

"I am just relaxing, trying to enjoy some off time to heal up the few nicks and pains I had due to this year. Just trying to get my body right and healthy," said the resident Ginebra import.

"Renaldo Balkman, man he was sleek, he made the game look very easy. They're just looking very good, they're very entertaining," he added.

Brownlee joined the team in the dugout after the game, bolstering speculation that he will soon join Balkman and PJ Ramos to form one of the most formidable casts of world imports ever in the regional league (the ABL is allowing teams to sign up as much as three world imports starting this season).

Add Alab's depth in local talent, and you have a team that would certainly give their foes a giant headache.

Brownlee said he hopes to join in the fun.

"I hope so. It's a great group of guys, very entertaining and it looks like theyre having fun out there," said Brownlee.

Asked if he's ready any time the team comes calling for a third world import, Brownlee didn't think twice.

"For sure, for sure man. For sure."
