SAN Miguel Alab Pilipinas lost to the Formosa Dreamers, 73-72, on Sunday in the Asean Basketball League at the Changhua County Stadium in Changhua City, Taiwan.
Lee Hsueh Lin converted a triple with one second left to win the game for the Dreamers, who improved their record to 8-4 with a huge victory at home.
Lee answered after Ethan Alvano hit a triple with six seconds to give Alab a two-point lead only for Formosa to steal the victory.
Prior to Alvano’s triple, Lee also converted a three to grab a 70-69 advantage late in the game for the Dreamers.
It was a sorry loss by Alab, which dropped its record to 6-2, losing two of their last three games this season.
Alab also played most of the game without PJ Ramos, who was ejected in the second quarter for continuous complaining after a non-call when he suffered a cut below his eye.
Alab was coming off a win over Hong Kong on Friday in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The match against Formosa was Alab’s fourth game in eight days with the Philippine side going 2-2 in those games.
