ALAB Pilipinas closed the Asean Basketball League (ABL) regular season on a high, trouncing the Kaohsiung Truth, 107-85, on Sunday at the Kaohsiung Municipal Senior High School Gym.
Lawrence Domingo had 23 points and nine rebounds while Bobby Ray Parks added 21 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists for Alab, which ended the elimination round with an 11-9 win-loss record.
Alab now prepares for a best-of-three semifinal series against the Singapore Slingers starting on April 2 at the OCBC Arena.
Alab Pilipinas had six players in double figures with imports Sampson Carter and James Hughes finishing with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Alab was up, 23-8, in the first period and never looked back as the Philippine-based squad finished their regular season with two straight victories after a mid-season wobble.
Former Far Eastern University standouts Raymar Jose and Achie Inigo combined for 13 points in their final outing with the Truth as Asean imports this season.
