The Fil-Am forward erupted for 12 of his 14 points in a telling second-quarter blitzkrieg that saw the home team open the floodgates and take as much as a 24-point lead, 56-32, with 3:36 left in the period.
Tiongson buried four treys in that 32-point second quarter explosion as he went 4-of-7 from downtown, alongside seven rebounds and two blocks to more than make up for the absence of suspended big man PJ Ramos.
Renaldo Balkman topscorec for the defending champions with 20 points to go with nine assists, six rebounds, and three blocks while reigning two-time ABL Local MVP Bobby Ray Parks scattered 17 points, five boards, and five assists.
Brandon Rosser made the most of his chances, tallying a career-high 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists off the bench.
