FORMER national youth team player Jordan Heading has signed with San Miguel Alab Pilipinas for the upcoming ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) season, team owner Charlie Dy confirmed on Sunday.
The 6-foot-2 Fil-Aussie is fresh off a stint with California Baptist University in Adelaide, where he finished as the school's leader in three-point field goals made (231) and placed eighth all-time in scoring (1,487 points) after four seasons.
Heading, 23, was a part of the Energen Pilipinas squad under coach Olsen Racela which finished fourth in the 2011 Fiba Asia Under-16 Championship in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
He is expected to reinforce the backcourt for Alab together with Jason Brickman, Jeremiah Gray, Louie Vigil, and World Import Khalif Wyatt.
