AQUASAFE beat Regent, 68-53, recently to capture the 1st DG Sports Basketball League held at the Valle Verde courts in Pasig City.
Hugo Ramirez and Carl Miranda helped Aquasafe win the title as they emerged as the MVPs of the 2003-2004 and 2005-2007 age groups, respectively, of the event graced on the final day by GlobalPort’s Anthony Semerad and Barangay Ginebra’s Aljon Mariano.
Joining Ramirez in the 2005-2007 Mythical Five were Anton Conde, Rjhay Perartilla, Yuan Ramirez, and Ethan Chua, while Miranda, Bryle Itac, Anton Lledo, Cobie Tolentino, and LA Davadilla were named to the 2003-2004 Mythical Five in the tournament organized by Pinoy Youth Dreamers.
PYD-Dolphins beat JAMAN, 70-65, in the battle for third place of the tournament also supported by DG Sports, Bread Story, PP Busline, and World Balance.
