UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas and De La Salle-Zobel kept their hopes alive with big wins over the weekend in the PSC Chairman’s Baseball Classic at the Rizal Memorial ballpark.
The Tigers tripped Bulacan State University, 15-2, on Saturday while the Junior Archers defeated Throwback, 7-3, on Sunday in the double elimination format tournament. The Tigers and Junior Archers had earlier suffered defeats and now trying to stay afloat in the losers’ bracket.
Philippine Air Force beat Dragons, 10-0, while Titans downed Bulacan Agricultural State University, 9-4, in other matches on the one-loss side von Sunday.
Philab defeated Air Force, 7-3, as De La Salle University downed Dragons, 4-3, on Saturday to advance into the next round of the main bracket.
Also in the main bracket are reigning UAAP champion Ateneo, National University, Adamson, Rizal Technological University, University of the Philippines, and Philippine Navy.
