THE Philippines will be making its Women’s Baseball World Cup debut when it competes in Tainan, Chinese Taipei from August 23 to 27.
The Pinay batters begin play against Japan on August 23 at the Asia Pacific Secondary Baseball Stadium.
After that game, the Filipinas are also scheduled to face at the same venue Cuba on August 24, host Chinese Taipei on August 25, Great Britain on August 26, and Venezuela on August 27.
The Philippines booked its first-ever berth in the World Cup after the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) granted it a wildcard berth.
The Nationals will play in Group B, with the top three teams moving to the final to be played next year in the U.S. city of Rockford, Illinois.
The Pinay batters formed by the Philippine Amateur Baseball Association already tasted international play in 2025 when they competed in the Women’s Baseball Asian Cup where they finished the group stage with a 2-2 record, good for sixth-place.
