THE Philippine Amateur Baseball Association will hold training camps this weekend to form the men’s and women’s national team.
The training camp for the men’s team is set on Saturday with the camp for the women’s squad is set on Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
Paba is forming the team early, with the sport to be played in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games, while the association expects a busy year as it also launches the women’s squad.
The camp is open to players aged 18 and above. Registrants are required to bring photocopies of their birth certificate and passport, as well as two 2x2 ID pictures.

New Paba officers took their oath of office in front of Philippine Olympic Committee president Ricky Vargas in Pasig City after the elections last month.
Loyzaga was joined by vice president Rodolfo ‘Boy’ Tingzon, treasurer Fortunato ‘Tato’ Dimayuga and secretary general Jose Antonio ‘Pepe’ Munoz. Also present during the oath-taking ceremony were trustees Ely Baradas and Emmanuel Calanog.
