NATIONAL University handed De La Salle its first loss of the season as the Bulldogs pulled off a 4-2 win over the Archers on Thursday in the UAAP Season 76 baseball competitions at the Rizal Memorial ballpark.
The Bulldogs won their second straight game after a 5-4 conquest of Ateneo on Sunday, improving their win-loss record to 3-4 and gaining a share of third spot.
The Green Archers, who started the season with six straight wins, remain on top of the standings.
Ateneo drubbed Adamson, 12-0, to keep second place with a 5-2 win-loss record, just one game behind La Salle.
University of Santo Tomas beat University of the Philippines, 12-3.
In softball, Adamson beat UST, 7-1, for a 10-0 win-loss slate this season. It was the Lady Falcons’ 44th straight victory dating back to Season 73.
