NATIONAL University and Adamson defeated separate opponents on Saturday to stay in the winners’ bracket of the PSC Chairman’s Baseball Classic at the Rizal Memorial ballpark.
The Bulldogs nipped University of the Philippines, 2-1, while the Falcons drubbed Rizal Technological University, 11-5, to stay unbeaten in the double-elimination tournament.
MJ Gante blasted a two-run single for the Bulldogs in the third inning that turned out to be the game-winner after the Maroons scored a run in the second.
Meanwhile, Lester Vispo and Jay Viscara slammed two-run hits in a six-run fifth inning to break a 2-2 tie for the Falcons.
