MUNTINLUPA finally secured a victory in the Big League Baseball World Series defeating EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), 13-5, in Easley, South Carolina.
Dio Remollo had four RBIs after going four-of-five at the plate as the Muntinlupa batters bounced back from their two previous setbacks to open the tournament.
The Philippine big leaguers are already out of contention but the Asia Pacific representatives were looking to salvage pride in the tournament.
A Remollo double to right field scored Carlos Munoz after he singled to open things up for the Muntinlupa batters.
Munoz tripled in the third before advancing home on a Remollo single to center field making it 5-0 for Muntinlupa, who scored three runs in the next inning with Remollo slamming a run-scoring double to begin the binge.
Remollo’s bases-loaded single began Muntinlupa’s four-run seventh inning to run away with the victory.
The Muntinlupa batters will face Canada on Monday (Tuesday, Manila time) to round out their stint in the eliminations.
