TWO members of the Philippine women’s baseball team received individual awards at the BFA Women’s Baseball Asia Cup in China.
Clariz Palma claimed the Pitcher with the best win-loss record award, while Ghene Camral was adjudged as the All Star Best Third Base after the Philippines earned a podium finish in the competition.
The first-ever Philippine women’s baseball team won the bronze medal after beating China, 11-1, in the medal round.
The Filipina batters notched a 2-1 record in the first round to earn a place in the super round where they picked up a win over China before the two teams met again in the bronze medal match.
