The Dolphins nipped the Dumaguete Uni-bikers, 7-6, and downed the Taguig Patriots, 14-4, to hike their record to 11-3.
Cebu gained the top spot over Dumaguete, which also secured a twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals with an 11-5 win over Batangas in the afternoon match for a 10-4 record.
The Manila Sharks are running third with and 8-6 win-loss card after trouncing Taguig 10-0 and bowing to the Alabang Sharks 3-7.
Alabang, which also beat Batangas 15-7, improved to fourth spot with a 7-7 win-loss card.
