CALAMBA survived a scare from winless Dasmarinas, pulling off a nail-biting 13-12 victory on Friday to stay unbeaten in the 11-12 year old division of the Little League Philippine Series baseball competitions in Tanauan City.
The Laguna bets kept their record unblemished in five games in the Southern Luzon Regionals, which was matched by hometown bets Tanauan, 13-0 winners over Los Banos on Friday, boosting their bid to make it to the semifinals of the 35-team four-region 11-12 year old age bracket baseball tournament.
Muntinlupa and International Little League Association of Manila remained unbeaten in the little league baseball National Capital Region group after beating separate foes.
Muntinlupa (5-0) edged Manila South, 6-0, while Illam (4-0) defeated Marikina, 6-3.
In big league softball, world champion Manila trounced Naga, 13-0, to remain unbeaten in five games.
