AROUND 120 teams are set to see action in the 2014 Little League Philippine Series that is set to start on Monday until April 27 in various venues.
The Marikina Sports Complex is the main hub of the competition with Barangka, Sumulong, Boystown, Marist, and Noritake as satellite venues. Games will also be held at the nearby Rosario Sports Complex and Rizal High School in Pasig.
The bulk of the participants will be vying in the major league 11 to 12 year old bracket in baseball.
The champion teams in each division will represent the country in the Asia Pacific regionals.
The initial list has 14 teams competing in the junior league (13 to 14), 13 in the senior league (14 to 16), and 12 in the big league (16 to 18) baseball competitions.
In softball for women, 18 are entered in the major league, 11 in the junior league, nine in the senior league, and two in the big league.
A coaches meeting is set on Sunday.
