THE 1st Sun Cellular-Ming Ramos National Juniors Badminton Tournament holds its Visayas leg from August 29 to 31 at the Raquet Zone Badminton Center in Apas, Cebu City.
Over 350 players from Cebu, Iloilo, Bohol, Leyte and Samar, among others, are expected to participate in the tournament sanctioned by the Philippine Badminton Association.
The Mindanao is set October 3 to 5 in General Santos. The Luzon leg was held in July.
The champions of the three qualifying legs will represent their respective regions in the National Finals to be held in Manila.
The categories are boys and girls singles for U-13, U-15,U-17 and U-19 while the Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles and Mixed Doubles will be U-15, U-17 and U-19.
The tournament supported by Sun Cellular, Smart Communications, MVP Sports Foundation, and PBA Smash Pilipinas and Babolat is open to all badminton junior players, teams and training camps. Players can choose which qualifying region to join based on either residency or location of school.
