PETER Gabriel Magnaye and Alvin Morada scored their third straight men’s doubles title, while Alyssa Ysabel Leonardo and Thea Marie Pomar completed a triple in the women’s side of the Prima Pasta Badminton Championship at Powersmash in Makati City.
Magnaye and Morada defeated Christian Bernardo and Paul John Pantig, 24-19, 19-21, 21-9, in the final.
Leonardo and Pomar downed fellow national players Airah Mae Nicole Albo and Sarah Joy Barredo, 24-22, 21-15.
Allem Palmares and Gregg Paz bested Bernardo and Pantig, 21-18, 21-19, to win the men’s doubles A crown, while Andrei Babad and Michael Adrian Clemente beat Joffre Arollado and Emilio Mangubat, 21-9, 11-5 (ret.) to take home the men’s doubles B crown.
Rafael Dionisio and Nepthali Pineda topped Class C, Vetrimar Concepcion and Johan Art Rivas won Class D, Jon Barrizo and Jeff Monton ruled Class E, Jay Luna and Ryan Marfa claimed the Class F title, while Teody Bautista and Richard Joshua won Class G.
Patricia Barredo and Lea Hermosilla won the women’s Class B, Andrea Abalos and Dennise Silva topped Class C, Stephanie Grace Mortera and Maridaine Pena ruled Class D, Anthea Marie Gonzalez and Rachel Claire Tanada claimed the Class E title, while Anna Inlayo and Liza Inlayo won Class F in the tournament supported by Babolat, Smart, Boysen Paints, Morning Star Milling Corporation., Mabz Builders, ILO Construction, Monocrete Construction, Pioneer Insurance and Promax International.
