ROCKY Fuentes failed in his bid for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight title after losing to Amnat Ruenroeng by unanimous decision Wednesday at the Liptapanlop Hall in Nakhonratchasima, Thailand.
Scores were 117-111, 116-112, 116-112, all in favor of the 34-year –old Thai.
Ruenroeng, who represented Thailand in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, improved to 12-0, with 5 KOs, while Fuentes fell to 35-6-2, (20KOs) as he lost for the first time in seven years.
