Pinay Olympian Mary Joy Tabal rules women's division in Ottawa half marathon race

MARY Joy Tabal topped the women’s division of the Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend half marathon on Sunday in Ottawa, Canada.

Tabal clocked one hour, 16 minutes, 27.4 seconds to win the 21km race, beating Brittany Moran, who crossed the line at 1:18:42.5.

Lynda Gingras placed third with a time of 1:22:58.3.

It was in the same race that Tabal was able to qualify for the Rio De Janeiro Olympics last year where she timed 2:43:31 in women's marathon on her way to setting a new Philippine record.
