KATHERINE Santos settled for a bronze medal in the long jump competitions of the third leg of the Asian Grand Prix recently in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
Santos, who bagged the silver medal in the first leg in Bangkok, leaped 6.04 meters to place third behind of two Uzbekistan long jumpers.
Darya Rezmehnenko claimed her second gold medal after winning the first leg, leaping 6.34 meters, while Yuliya Tarasova took the silver with a 6.04-m jump.
Meanwhile, Rosie Villarito finished dead-last among seven competitors in the women’s javelin throw, and Daniel Noval was also far from a podium spot with a 10.81 clocking in the 100 meter dash.
