IT might not be a championship ring but this piece of jewelry took 20 years to earn.
Shortly before Kobe Bryant's final game, the Los Angeles Lakers presented the 37-year-old basketball superstar and his wife Vanessa matching retirement rings.
According to ESPN, the rings were designed by jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills and are made up of round white diamonds with a total carat weight of 4.87 carats set onto approximately 70 grams of 14 karat yellow and white gold.
Five large diamonds represent each of the championships Bryant won with the Purple and Gold. The sides have his two jersey numbers and his nickname. There is even a strip of snake skin, a testament to Bryant's Black Mamba persona.
