JOSHUA Pacio put on a dominant performance in front of his home fans, submitting Ming Qiang Lan in the first round of the ONE: Global Superheros co-main event on Friday at the Mall of Asia arena.

The 22 year old wonderboy out of Team Lakay got the submission win exactly four minutes into the first round of his match-up via rear naked choke.

Pacio hardly broke a sweat as he quickly took his Chinese foe to the ground and dominated from there.

Displaying his vastly improved ground skills, Pacio quickly transitioned to mount where he patiently rained down punches before looking for an arm triangle.

Once Lan resisted, Pacio quickly transitioned to the back, peppering his foe with punches before putting on his choke to get the impressive submission victory.

“The two losses I had I was caught by a rear naked choke so I developed and enhanced my ground skills with the help of my coaches,” said Pacio who improved to 14-2 for his career.

“This is what I’ve said. I’ll always fight and give the best show to the best promotion in the world. My goal is to keep winning and improving,” he added

Meanwhile, Eric Kelly couldn’t replicate his brother Edward’s success as he suffered his fourth straight loss in ONE after succumbing to Brazilian Rafael Nunes in the undercard.

The Brazilian was just too much for the skidding Kelly as he was forced to tap via d’Arce choke one minute and 31 seconds in the second round.
