JOHN Cabang Tolentino gave the Philippines a bronze medal in the 2024 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships in Tehran, Iran.
Tolentino clocked 7.64 seconds in the men’s 60m hurdles behind David Yefremov of Kazakhstan (7.60) and Qin Weibo of China (7.63).

Tolentino's time is a new Philippine indoor record, but needs ratification before it becomes official, according to the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association.
Tolentino reached the finals of the event after placing second in Heat One with a time of 7.71 seconds.
Janry Ubas, meanwhile, placed fifth in the men’s long jump with a leap of 7.60 meters.
