ERIC Shaun Cray captured the 400-m hurdles gold in the 2017 Asian Athletics Championship in India on Saturday.
The 2016 Rio De Janeiro Olympian crossed the finish line at 49.57 seconds to beat Chen Chieh of Chinese Taipei (49.75) and Jabir MP of India (50.22).
On his way to the final, the Fil-American sprinter finished second in the heats behind Chen with a time of 50.85 seconds, 0.21 behind the Taiwanese trackster.
The final day of the competition is on Sunday.
