EJ OBIENA finished eighth after clearing 5.70 meters in the Beijer Pole Vault Gala in Uppsala, Sweden.
Obiena also cleared 5.7m in placing fourth in the ISTAF Indoor Berlin less than a week ago .
Olympic champion Armand Duplantis won with a mark of 6.04 meters, falling short the world record of 6.19.
KC Lightfoot placed third with 5.92 followed by Emmanouil Karalis of Greece (5.81), Pal Haugen Lillefosse of Norway (5.81), Menno Vloon of Netherlands (5.70), and Thiago Braz of Brazil (5.70).
Obiena goes to Poland for the Orlen Cup on Saturday.
