EJ OBIENA begins his 2024 indoor campaign on February 20 in the lead-up to the World Athletics Indoor Championships in March.
Obiena will compete in the Memorial Josip Gasparac in Osijek, Croatia, his first competition of the year as part of his preparation for the Paris Olympics, the highlight of the outdoor season later this year.
Obiena sets sights on World Indoors
The 2023 Philippine Sportswriters Association Athlete of the Year will next see action in the ISTAF Indoor in Berlin on February 23 before he plunges into action in the World Indoors to be held in Glasgow, Scotland on March 3.
Obiena will finally compete in the world indoors after missing the 2022 edition in Belgrade, Serbia due to the rift between him and the Philippine Athletics Track and Field Association (Patafa).
That year, Obiena qualified for the world indoors but was not endorsed by Patafa.
