EJ OBIENA equalled his indoor personal best in his third-place finish in his first acid test of 2023 - the Mondo Classic in Sweden.

Obiena cleared 5.91 meters to place third, tying his best performance indoors - and the Philippine indoor pole vault record - in the Perche Elite Tour last March.
The Filipino pole vaulter competed with an elite field with world and Swedish Olympic champion Armand Duplantis, the person where the competition was named after, took first place with a meet record 6.10 meters.
KC Lightfoot of the United States also cleared 5.91 but took second place over Obiena via countback.
